Ashley's Special Day

Ashley was baptized on the morning of Feb. 6. Because her cousin, Kyree, was getting baptized on the same day, we decided to do the baptisms together. We decided to do it in Kyree's Stake, where the two girls would be the only one's getting baptized and where we would be allowed to plan the whole program. We felt very blessed to be able to have a more personal baptism for Ashley, but it was a lot more stressful planning it than it was for Alyssa. Here are my favorite pictures.

Ashley and Danny before the baptism.
Ashley and Kyree. They were both glowing with excitement that morning and loved sharing their special day.
The girls with their dads.
And here are the family shots that we got after the baptism.

Alyssa gave the baptism talk and was so nervous beforehand. She did a wonderful job and got numerous compliments afterwards. We are so happy that Ashley chose to be baptized. She is such a special girl with a heart of gold and we look forward to watching her grow into a young woman.

Indian Day

This happened a few weeks ago, but Ashley had an Indian Celebration at school. They got to dress up as Indians that day which is pretty exciting for a girl who wears uniforms every day. I was able to go and help out for it. The first thing they got to do was watch some Indian dancers. Here is a picture of her class with the dancers.
Next, they got to go and play some games. This game was throwing a spear at the moving animal(a rolling hula hoop).
The next thing they did was make this key chain design out of beads and strings. They also got their faces painted. Here is Ashley with her best friend at school.
The last thing they did was eat some yummy Indian themed food. It was a lot of fun to be there for it.
