We quickly learned that Lula is a completely different dog than Casey was. One of the big differences is the need to groom her and bathe her often. This worked great outside when the weather was warm. But then it started to freeze and we needed to disconnect our hose. So now, Lula gets to have her bath inside. Danny and I don't like this because we are trying to train her to stay in our kitchen and our bath is definitely not in the kitchen, but the only other option is to take her to the dog wash at a nearby gas station and we usually don't feel like doing that either. The kids love getting in the bath with her and they say she loves the warm water.
She even laid down in the water one time.Another new thing for us was discovered the first time it snowed. We all had a good laugh when we discovered out "Santa" dog
The kids sure love her though. Ashley dedicates at least an hour every day to walking her, brushing her, and training her. Sometimes, like today when it was 10 degrees outside, we wish that she would just skip it for a day, but she insists that it must be done every day. Danny and hope that someday she grows more on us, but right now we do not share in the puppy love.
