Halloween Fun

The boys got pumpkins from school so I helped them carve some pretty complex designs. I always tell them to make their shapes easy and then they end up drawing these tiny facial features on their pumpkins. I think that they both drew dog faces, which is why there is a strip of cloth below. That is the dog collar.

We went to the pumpkin patch at Thanksgiving Point. It was crowded because we went during fall break, but we still had a lot of fun.

The boys got to dress up 3 different times for Halloween this year. The first time was for our Ward Halloween Party. They decided to go with an easy and practical costume this year: Ninja Warriors. The funny thing is that a lot of people thought that Tyler's sling was part of his costume.
They got to dress up again for school on Halloween. We added some face paint this time.
Ashley didn't think that she was going to be able to go trick or treating this year since Halloween was just a few days before her school play. But the play director was kind and let them go early that night. So this was Ashley's backup costume, made entirely from things we already had in the house. This is a character from her favorite YouTube channel, known as "The Beard." She decided that it wasn't a great costume for walking around the neighborhood and after stumbling around for an hour, she finally pulled her hair aside so that she could see.
They got a lot of candy and had a fun night.
And the boys still get to wear their shirts all of the time.
