One of My Favorite Days of the Year

I had a very nice Mother's Day. It is one of my favorite days of the year because I get to relax from my daily responsibilities and not feel guilty about it. It is also one of my favorite days of the year because it helps me remember what a blessing it is to be a mother. I love these little girls so much and I feel honored to be able to spend ever single day with them.
Danny helped Alyssa pick out some gifts to give me from her and Ashley. I enjoyed a yummy french toast breakfast and a grilled chicken dinner that I didn't need to worry about preparing. After dinner, we went for a drive together (it was too cold to go for a walk and the girls needed to get out of the house). During our drive, we saw this:
(well, not exactly this because we didn't have our camera and there are no mountains in Missouri and the balloon was actally much further away than this when we first saw it). We pointed it out to the girls and they begged us to go find the hot air balloon. So off we went on a balloon chase and they loved every minute of it. We eventually caught up to it and pulled into a High School parking lot to get out and watch it go over our heads.
After that, the girls wanted to go chase it again. We did and watched it go right past us once again, this time a lot lower to the ground so we got a good look at the occupants. We did chase it again after that, but gave up when we no longer had city streets to drive on. It was a fun way to end a nice Mother's Day.

The balloon images came from two different sources on google.

When I saw the first balloon picture my first thought was, "where did they go to find that little hill? I want to go there!" I was very disappointed when I read that they were not local pics. I sure miss the mountains!

That was a fun little Mother's Day for you.

Are you still void of mountains? I didn't notice that when we were there. It looks like you had a very fun time and I can hear the girls laughing and being excited as the balloon got closer! Fun!!!!
