Children of Eden

Ashley was in her school play in April. The play was Children of Eden. I had never seen this play and I wasn't familiar with the music. I also had mixed feelings about someone portraying Heavenly Father on stage. But as I attended the play and focused more on the idea of relationships between parents and children than the actual relationship between Father in heaven and Adam/Eve, I was able to really enjoy the play. I always love watching Ashley on Stage doing what she loves most.

The costumes were very simple for this play. Ashley also said they were very comfortable The only thing we had to provide was a pair of colored high-top converse.
I took Camden with me to the Friday night performance. We had front row seats and I wish I had been more familiar with the play so I could have taken pictures and videos this night.
Alyssa was my date for the Saturday night performance. Our seats were on the second row, so the few attempts I made at pictures were not great. I especially wanted to catch a short scene during the gathering of the animals onto the ark where Ashley had a rock paper, scissors battle with another monkey and one of them gets thrown off of the stage. Our seats were perfect to see it on Friday night, but hard to see on Saturday night without holding my phone up in the air.
Ashley was sad when it was over but looks forward to learning what musicals the school will do next year. She is hoping for Annie, so that she can volunteer Lula to play the part of Sandy.
