Ashley's Glass Blowing Field Trip

Ashley had a field trip to Holdman Studios last month. I got to go with her. If you don't know what Holdman studios is, it is a stained glass making warehouse over by Thanksgiving Point. It was pretty interesting to see the details put into making a stained glass window and to learn how it is all done. As part of the field trip, Ashley got to make a blown glass flower.

Each student got to choose 2 colors for their flower. Ashley chose red and yellow, for Lula and Casey. She got to actually pull and shape her flower mostly by herself.

The finished product turned out pretty cool looking.
