I've taken the boys swimming a few times. They love the pool, especially the cliff jump and the rock wall.
I found the boys like this one morning when I went in to check on them and see if they were awake yet.
We got to go and see "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at the Hale Center Theater during Thanksgiving break. The kids did really well, despite what the 2 Karens next to us said. Fortunately, they got upgraded to the front row at intermission, so we didn't have to hear them complain any more. The kids loved the show.
We made gingerbread houses after we got back from California. The kids had fun with it.
And Alyssa got her driver's license on December 27th. She couldn't go on her birthday or the day after because it was Christmas and the weekend. She is so excited to be able to drive herself around. She has taken her siblings out a few times for ice cream and food. We got a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for her to drive.
I took Ashley and the boys to the Butterfly Museum at Thanksgiving Point a couple of weeks ago. Tyler was able to catch a butterfly and then he passed it on to Camden and Ashley.
It must have been hurt or something because Ashley was able to get it to sit on her nose...
It finally flew away after hanging with her for about 10 minutes.
The kids also played on all of the playthings, looked at a lot of real bugs, including a bird eating tarantula that was as big as my hand.
And they got to hold a millipede, which we learned is poisonous but not venomous (which means you can hold it, but not eat it).
