Ashley had a great birthday this year. In fact, she told us at the end of the day that it was "even more amazing than she had imagined it would be." Her teacher gave her 3 balloons and a box of M&M's. She was also pretty excited about the little mini cake that her Aunt Shannon brought to her at school. That evening, she chose to go to dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, Tepanyaki. She was especially good at standing on her chair and "shaking her booty" to their birthday song. After dinner, we came back and opened presents. We opted to do her cupcakes for her friend party rather than doing a cake on her birthday.
She had her friend party on the Saturday after her birthday. She chose a Paw Patrol theme since we had done the dog theme for her last party. We did a photo booth with these cute paw patrol masks.
We had them make dog collars with the paw patrol badge of their choice attached to it. They played a "who am I" guessing game where they had to ask yes and no questions to find out which paw patrol character was on the sticker on their back. We also played "pin the badge on Marshall," Bingo, "Pup, Pup, Kitty," and a cake walk that we called "rescue walk. We ate, opened presents, and let them play as well. Ashley said it was a lot of fun.
Here is the group of kids that came.
We love our Ashley girl. She has such a great imagination and everyone always comments on her unique low voice. She still loves dogs more than anything and especially loves playing games where she acts like a dog. She also loves to play the wii and play with her younger brothers and older sister. Lately, she has been trying especially hard to split her play time up between her siblings. We are so glad that she had such a great birthday this year.
